The coolest people I've met so far ended up rushing and I haven't really seen them, and after talking to them a bit I guess it reaffirmed my interest (they all seem to be having a good time). I'm interested in which houses participate the most in philanthropic activities, which put on the best socials, and which girls have good or reputations overall due to behavior. I like anime and kpop and want to be able to be open about it if I'm in a sorority. Fraternities and sororities are managed and maintained by established housing corporations that own the properties and take care of major upkeep and repairs. I'm not sure if I'll get a lot out of it/the same experience as say starting as a Freshman, but I did come from a CC and I'm still young so I don't think I'd stick out or anything. Actually, a lot of them make me cry. Of course, there's a tradeoff since the more girls are in a house, there will no doubt be cliques in the houses. As time goes on your crew of friends will generally be a bunch of random greeks/non greeks(people from different houses) that you have no fucking clue how you met. Period. It's really a personal matter though and you have to evaluate what's important to you - are you interested in mandatory parties, is paying for friends worthwhile to you (yes, it is paying for friends, but beyond that it's what you make of it), do you like drinking and/or drugs.
