Great trail, my wife and I did this today for the first time. It's moderately trafficked and heavily trafficked closer to Cucumber Falls.While hiking on the northern portion of this trail, along the Youghiogheny River, you'll often notice kayakers and whitewater rafters passing by in the river below; however, it's easier to see them during the colder months when the leaves are off the trees. Follow it for eight miles to a stop sign. On my way back I swam to cool off, had a lot of fun! Probably will be gorgeous in the fall when the leaves change though. So, plan a hike along the 2.6 mile Great Gorge Trail that will give you sweeping views of a sea of colorful wildflowers.

Not that many people on a Sunday afternoon, until we reached Cucumber Falls (we turned back there). will be added to the main trail notes. The trail is accessible from a parking lot at the southern terminus, a parking lot at Cucumber Falls, and a short hike along the, Create Recommended Route or on the way back down it was a little tricky getting over those jagged rocks (see image). not much of anything to see (all in the forest) but does connect with several other trails . While there are not great views of the Yough below, Cucumber Falls more than makes up for it. Lovely trail.

Cucumber Falls was much larger than expected though rather thin of a falls at this time. Useful and helpful tips in hiker Dogs are allowed, but biking is not allowed on this trail.Waterfalls: The trail has several noteworthy waterfalls along the hike - first and foremost Cucumber Falls sits at the trailhead and is the main attraction for this area. This is about an injury or accident Beautiful scenery! JMT/PCT Duck Pass Trailhead to Vermillion Valley, California, Horseshoe Meadow - Lookingglass Lake, Washington. No spectacular views, mainly in the forest and then follows the river (but you cannot see it). The only downside to this trail is there is no real lookout point of the river unless you hop on the Bike Trail at the end.The end of this trail puts you at the bottom of Cucumber Falls and at the trailhead for the Meadow Run Trail. The trail offers a number of activity options and is best used from March until October. This trail traverses the Laurel Ridge from Ohiopyle to the northern end near Johnstown. .

Ohiopyle boasts nearly 80 miles of hiking trails, ranging from easy to very difficult. Great Gorge Trail is a 4.9 mile heavily trafficked out and back trail located near Ohiopyle, Pennsylvania that features a waterfall and is rated as moderate. Definitively a great workout as there are many steep climbs and lots of rough terrain. 510 m Up

I started at the slide on a Thursday at 8::30am, no crowds. and a climb up the mountain that is only a bit of a challenge . Turn left onto PA 31 east. Cucumber Falls never disappoints though. 695' Down The rest of the trail is easy wide path, but still pretty with the fall foliage.

Lots of great spots to hop in the water and cool off! Cucumber falls is amazing. Please explain. The rest was meandering through the woods. The trail is a little hard on the way to cucumber falls, than pretty flat for a good bit than steep to the end.
