Walking Bottom car park (Hurtwood Car Park No. Map 3 covers Netley Heath and Aldbury Downs. Peaslake also has its village store and the Hurtwood Inn on offer. Did you know In recent years, there has been an explosion of interest in the area since it was discovered by the mountain bike brigade, with Peaslake becoming something of a centre for the sport. It also has two trails that terminate in the car park for a blast back to the car at the end of a day of riding. Basically we are a bunch of keen mountain biking dads who organise the greatest MTBO event in the South East. 'The Hurtwood provides miles of riding with trails of varying abilities and with easy access to Ranmore and Leith Hill.

Walking Bottom car park, just outside the village of Peaslake, is the biggest and most popular car park due to its location near the facilities in the village (pub, local shop selling the famous cheese straws and bike shop) and its location at the base of Pitch Hill giving access to all the best trails. GU5 9RR (see map, TQ085447) and will be clearly sign-posted from the centre of the village.

Home of the infamous cheese straws and pork & leek slices, Peaslake Village Stores is the perfect stop off for mid-ride refreshments in the bus shelter. Loop them together for a ‘mega day out’ or ride them individually, then grab a coffee and a sausage roll in the Peaslake Village Stores. They love a custom build with the latest kit and they also have some Santa Cruz bikes for hire if you're not bringing your own.
